Cribr Community Guidelines & Help Center
Cribr is built to connect direct roommates and flat-sharers directly. To ensure a safe, transparent, and 100% broker-free experience, please review our community standards and best practices.
β What TO Do (Best Practices)
-
π€
Complete Your Vibe Profile Ensure your roommate profile lists your actual budget, preferences (smoking, pets, diet), and lifestyle vibe. Matches are calculated based on these parameters.
-
πΈ
Post Real Photos of the Flat Upload high-quality, clear, and authentic photos of the room and common spaces. Ensure the images represent the actual condition of the property.
-
π
Verify Listings in Person Always schedule a physical or video call visit of the property before making any payments or signing agreements.
-
β οΈ
Report Violations If you encounter a listing asking for broker fees, a profile that appears fake, or a user behaving inappropriately, report them immediately.
β What NOT to Do (Prohibited Behavior)
-
πΈ
Never Pay Brokerage or Commissions Asking for or paying broker fees, consultancy charges, or agent commissions is strictly prohibited. Violators will have their accounts terminated.
-
π°
Do Not Send Advance Deposits Do not transfer money (advances, token deposits, application fees) to anyone before physically viewing the flat and meeting the owner.
-
π
Do Not Post Multiple Active Listings Standard accounts are limited to 1 active flat listing at a time. Do not create multiple accounts or duplicate listings to bypass this cap.
-
π€
No Commercial Spam/Scraping Do not use Cribr to pitch real estate agency services, spam users with off-platform solicitations, or scrape contact details.
